TAPPING THE VEIN: New Album Being Mastered By ACHIM KÖHLER
August 2, 2007Philadelphia's TAPPING THE VEIN has shipped its recently completed new album over to to Germany to have it mastered by Achim Köhler (PRIMAL FEAR, BRAINSTORM). The CD was mixed by Neil Kernon (NEVERMORE, CANNIBAL CORPSE, DEICIDE) at RaxTrax in Chicago, Illinois. A fourth-quarter release via Nuclear Blast Records.
"We're very excited to be working with Neil on this," drummer Eric Fisher previously said in a statement. "Time and time again, on tour, we were told we sound much better live. I'd have to agree the band is heavier and more powerful live. I think we were able to capture that this time around with Neil."
Vocalist Heather Thompson added, "TAPPING THE VEIN took a new approach to the writing of this album and I am really pleased with the result. I think we've managed to streamline and 'pump it up,' so to speak, without sacrificing any of the emotional impact that we insist on."
TAPPING THE VEIN and its management are currently looking for touring and packaging ideas for late in the year and early 2008. Interested parties should contact [email protected].
TAPPING THE VEIN's last album, "The Damage", was released in 2002.
